Daniel Pitout from Nü Sensae and Eating Out has announced a new non-profit organization established to help promote HIV/AIDS awareness through music and art.

The way in which YOU the public donates is by entering a raffle. Anybody can donate a minimum amount of $10 which earns you a raffle ticket. Each $5 increment above that will earn you another ticket. (ie: $15 would earn you 2 tickets, $20 would earn you 3 tickets etc..). The more you donate, the more tickets you earn, and the more times you are entered into the raffle!

The raffle packages will be anything from limited edition records, signed merch and personal trinkets from bands and artists like GRIMES, DUM DUM GIRLS, MAC DEMARCO, KING TUFF, NU SENSAE, WHITE LUNG, THE COATHANGERS, PAMELA LOVE, WAX IDOLS, SHANNON AND THE CLAMS, BLACK BANANAS, BURGER RECORDS, and more. The site was launched over the weekend, on December 1st (world AIDS day), and the fundraising will run for most of December, which is AIDS awareness month.

“I grew up in South Africa where HIV is a huge part of everybody’s daily life. I have also lost family and friends to AIDS and have several friends living with HIV.” says Pitout about his inspiration behind staring the organization, adding, “I have always been a huge advocate for HIV awareness and decided I wanted to get some of my friends who play in amazing bands and make amazing art to get involved.”
