Over the past twenty-seven years, the Suicide Squeeze roster has grown from a stable of regional indie rock bands into a diverse, international array of artists. The current line-up includes the ecstatic Southern feminist garage rock of The Coathangers, the ripping riffage and psych mysticism of Death Valley Girls, the smoky reverb-drenched noir rock of L.A. Witch, the irreverent bedroom-pop confessionals of Julia Shapiro, the ethereal folk and dubbed-out ballads of Julia, Julia, the cumbia-infused DIY-spirited R&B of Abraxas, the melancholy Midwestern instrumentals of Six Parts Seven, the legendary Revolution Summer-style emocore and Olympia indie pop mash-up of Lync, the witty introspection and gentle guitar charms of Chastity Belt, the global grooves and genre-hopping soul of Night Beats, the subversive technicolor subterranean pop of Holy Wave, the unglued artcore of These Arms Are Snakes, the cerebral futurist pop inventions of Minus the Bear, the sardonic social commentary party anthems of Childbirth, and the riotous rock n’ surf revival of Guantanamo Baywatch. In addition, the label has issued one-off releases by the likes of luminaries such as Elliott Smith, Modest Mouse, Kevin Morby, Kurt Vile, Courtney Barnett, and Ty Segall.
