“By incorporating vintage influences with so much skill, Nau channels yesterday’s greats without ever lazily copying them. Instead, he transports you to way back when, then makes it sound of the moment.” – Exclaim

“Songwriting as graceful and elemental as Nau’s is ripe for any season” – Newsweek

“The song’s luminous with lavishly recorded guitars, subtle touches of vibraphones and Nau’s harmonized vocals. Despite its splendor, it’s over and done with in just over two minutes, offering a tantalizing preview of a world many of us may never reach unless we maybe get lost in the woods.” – Noisey

“Nau makes sun dappled pop music, Stax-esque soul marked with hints of psychedelia and deadpan heartbroken delivery” – Passion of the Weiss

“Reminiscent of The War on Drugs’ ‘Lost In The Dream,’ Nau’s ‘Good Thing’ creates a dreamscape in reality, a soundtrack for making plans for the future and moving on. Lead both by Nau’s melodic voice and the sweet notes of the piano, the meandering guitar and buzzing analog sound creates an oddly uplifting symphony” – The Wild Honey Pie

“sweet, a little fuzzy, and good for the soul.” – FADER

“Light That Ever” proves he’s cooking up summer’s best record – Uproxx
