SadGirl have shared their new video for “Breakfast For 2” off the namesake EP out August 17th. Watch the video premiere via L.A. Record. The B-side, a cover of Link Wray’s “Jack The Ripper,” premiered today on KEXP.
On the inspiration for the “Breakfast For 2” video Misha Lindes said “The video pretty much came more or less fully formed in a flash vision while driving through Los Angeles one day. I knew that only people who would be able to properly realize it’s strange reality were the giraffe sisters, Nicky and Julie. We’ve worked together on a few projects and I feel like we live creatively in the same world and I hardly had to communicate the story for them to manifest it flawlessly on 8mm.
We all gravitate towards this old-Hollywood dark world of invisible men and has-been screen stars in mansions on Sunset Blvd, and we’re all freaks. So it was the most ideal project we could have worked together on.
Unfortunately Nicky was unable to comment because she has been missing since she disappeared on set in Character as Norma.”
SadGirl’s record release show is Friday, 8/17 at 1720 Warehouse. Additional tour dates below.
