The Coathangers have premiered their awesome new video for “Trailer Park Boneyard” today at The FADER (see Sep. 2 premiere). The clip stars the band, hanging out and performing at a trailer park, and eventually end up in a bar where all hell breaks loose – lots of alcohol, line dancing and of course, a brawl. The video was directed once again by Mike Moore (“Hurricane”) for Studio 8 in Atlanta, GA. The FADER says, “Has there ever been a trailer park on TV or in movies that is not a bummer? Let us know, because we can’t think of one. Here, The Coathangers, along with director Mike Moore, don’t do a whole lot to elevate the status of the dusty lot that these things sit in, but they do make a serious jam built on fractured guitars and yelped vocals about waiting for someone that never shows up and how there’s no escape because I’m always nowhere, which is a pretty accurate depiction of what it is like to live in a home that can move around but never really does.”
The Coathangers are gearing up for a busy fall in support of Larceny & Old Lace, the bands critically acclaimed third album, available now. The band will hit the road for a mini tour with Hunx & His Punx beginning September 6 at the Earl in its hometown of Atlanta, GA and will wrap up on September 10 in Orlando, FL at Wills Pub. There will be another major fall tour announcement soon.
