1. Kacey Musgraves “Golden Hour” + throwing down for “Corral” passes at Stagecoach to witness it up close.
2. “Mandy” premiere at the Egyptian Theatre w/Nicolas Cage, Panos Cosmatos, Elijah Wood, and Linus Roache on hand for Q&A.
3. Adopting my second dog in two years and watching him improve every day.
4. Befriending tons of SoundCloud rappers and learning how they were able to take the DIY ethic even further than all of us ancient elitists.
5. Expanding creative horizons by dedicating time toward designing experiences (escape rooms, restaurants, etc.) versus traditional products.
6. All the homies keeping Tony Hawk’s 50th birthday party under wraps and actually pulling off the surprise with sets from Devo, X, and Bauhaus members, plus a beautiful speech from Rodney Mullen.
7. Watching my giant Pomeranian surf and jump in the waves constantly.
8. Being on hand to witness Power Trip sell out the Regent in Los Angeles and then Canton Hall in Dallas as an exclamation point on year 10 as a band.
9. Traveling to London with the Hawks to witness This Will Destroy You open for The Cure at their 40th Anniversary Concert in Hyde Park in front of 80,000.
10. Skating with my niece for the first time ever at LES park in NYC.
11. Will Ferrell and Jerry Seinfeld crushing it at the Hollywood Bowl.
12. Making it a point to finally visit all of the filming locations of John Carpenter’s “Halloween” to celebrate the holiday.
13. Seeing Metallica do an acoustic set at a Masonic theater in their hometown with a stomach full of Dominique Crenn’s food the very week before she learned that she was to become the first female chef to be awarded her third Michelin star.
