Guantanamo Baywatch shared a new song, “Area 69″ off their new album Desert Center out August 4th. The rollicking instrumental track can be heard over at Paste Magazine.

From Paste: “We just want to record songs that are fun to play live,” says vocalist and guitarist Jason Powell. The title of the track gets its name from a lingerie store in Portland, the band’s hometown. Bassist Chevelle Wiseman describes the place as “a lingerie/“lifestyle” store in Portland OR on SE 82nd ave where we all used to live. One time we were cruisin and saw Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones going in there. Most likely doing sexy research for Men In Black 4? The place is sick, sexy, spooky and this is the song we think they should always be playing in there.“

Desert Center is available on CD, digital formats, and a limited pressing of 2000 copies on amber-colored vinyl with a printed insert and download code. T-shirt is a Gildan brand 100% cotton pocket T. Guantanamo Baywatch logo is printed on the pocket and back in yellow ink.
